Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! It finally feels like Spring has arrived and we got out and about to enjoy it!

Here is a little recap of the weekend.

Friday

I taught my usual 5 PM Barre class Friday night. It really is one of my favorite classes of the week and this week was no exception. Especially heading into a holiday weekend and Spring Break here in WI, everyone was ready to let off some steam and it was a beautiful night!

The Hubs and I headed out on a sushi date after that and then rented the movie Green Book. If you haven’t seen this movie I really can’t recommend it enough. It is no wonder it won multiple awards. I’d love to know if you’ve seen it and what you thought!

Saturday

We headed downtown bright and early to go to the monthly yoga that is offered at the Milwaukee Art Museum. This week the class was being led by Suzy from Empower Yoga and we loved it. What’s not to love about doing yoga in a beautiful space with more than 400 of your fellow yogis? Suzy led a beautiful heartfelt flow that we enjoyed very much.

After yoga we headed to the Milwaukee Public Market for coffee and brunch. Even though it was windy out it was a beautiful day!

We capped off the night with dinner and then headed to support the Brew Fitness guys in their efforts to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by bar tending at a local bar.

Sunday

It definitely was not a traditional Easter for us. My step kids were with their Mom this year and we decided to take advantage of having nothing else on our agenda to get some spring cleaning done. The weather was amazing, almost 70 degrees and clear blue skies. You have to soak up those days here. We grilled out for the first time this year and enjoyed a productive but low key day!

As we head back into the week I am so grateful for this weekend and the time that Eric and I had together, I’m excited for the week ahead, which includes the final week of the April Healthy Habits Challenge.

This weeks goal is to incorporate all of the habits we worked on this month into each day. A salad, a 30 minute walk and a meditation each day. I hope you’ll join me for this final week!
